There are in fact different types of Bingo which vary depending on the objective to be achieved to win (coverall or models) or the number of balls (75 or 90).

Bingo games the coverall: the best known and most played variant in bingo nights. You have to fill out the whole grid to be able to win,

Model based Bingo : you don’t have to fill out the whole grid but only a “model” to win. A model could be, for example, a set of horizontal, vertical, oblique lines. There are a huge number of them which vary according to each part. The first player who completed the “template” wins.

The Bingo with 75 balls: the starting urn contains 75 balls, numbered from 1 to 75. The 75 balls are divided into 5 columns of 15 numbers, each column bearing one of the letter of the word BINGO. The grids, more commonly called in the world of bingo, are made up of 25 boxes (5X5),with numbers from 1 to 75, chosen randomly.

The objective is to fill a pre-defined model first (horizontal, vertical lines,… or randomly selected and represented by shaded boxes). A jackpot is also usually awarded to the player who has completed his template before the scheduled number of balls is released.

90-ball Bingo: the starting urn contains 90 balls, numbered from 1 to 90. The boxes are called ticket here and consist of 27 numbers divided into 9 columns of 3 lines. Each player has 6 tickets with numbers from 1 to 90 in 5 of the 9 boxes per line. The other four are left empty. You will win when you fill one, two or three lines on the same ticket. A jackpot is usually offered to a player who has completed three lines on his ticket before the scheduled number of balls is released.

The different variants of online bingo

Online bingo, like traditional bingo, has two classic variants and one additional variant. The classics are the 90 ball bingo and 75-ball bingo. The additional variant of virtual bingo is called speed bingo.

Even though virtual casinos use numbers drawn randomly instead of balls, the name Ball remains a legacy of classic bingo.

The 90 ball bingo

The most played variant in online casinos in France and the world, 90-ball bingo is played, as its name indicates, with 90 numbered balls. To begin playing this type of bingo, you must first purchase one or multiple cards (maximum of 10). Each card has 27 boxes; each box has a number ranging from 1 to 90.

Ninety balls are each marked with a number ranging from 1 to 90. These balls are drawn at random, one after the other. Each time a number is drawn on a player’s card, the player will automatically check it out, it’s well done. The online casino site will usually tell you, from three missing numbers, that the card is soon completed. In this type of bingo, there are three ways to win a lot: either with a complete line, or with two complete lines, or with the card filled (this combination offering the biggest win). In the event of a tie, the prize will be divided among the winners.

The bingo with 75 balls

This variant is played with 15 balls less than the previous version. Each card with 25 boxes, 24 with a number and an empty box.

As with 90-ball bingo, a number (between 1 and 75) is drawn randomly.

The big difference with this type of bingo is how to win. If the rules of winnings are predefined by default in 90-ball bingo, in 75-ball bingo, predetermined combinations must be made.

The speed bingo

Speed bingo is a faster variant of traditional bingo. This one is played with a very small number of balls (30) with smaller cards (cards of 9 boxes). This type of bingo is very fast and a game is usually over in less than 5 minutes. The gains are often smaller than in the traditional variants.

This type of bingo is a growing success in online casinos, its speed and simplicity assures it a bright future ahead of it.

The variants of bingo offer different game styles that can satisfy all types of players. You should not hesitate to experiment and test the style of play that best suits your expectations.
